Introducing ETX Training Inc.’s first athlete Carter Filion!

Carter is a mix between an unstoppable force and a big teddy bear. Don’t let his towering stature and intense playing style fool you off the field. At heart, Carter is a driven athlete with a deep-rooted passion for excellence. His hard work and determination has led him to be named to several high profile rugby teams in his young playing career. Carter developed his passion for rugby while at Ridley College in St. Catherine’s Ontario. He continued his passion when he became an Ontario Jr. Blues member from 2015-2017, competing against yours truly at the Canadian Rugby Championship in 2016 (Blues being victorious). At this time Carter joined the Bishop’s University Rugby team where he spent 4 years playing lock and building a reputation league wide as a respectable opponent. While at BU Carter was awarded team captaincy, several league first team all-stars, team MVP, and male athlete of the year, he truly bled purple. His passion for rugby grew further as he said goodbye to his BU counterparts and headed west to play for the VIRU Crimson Tide and Westshore RFC 2019-2020, two highly competitive and reputable clubs on the island of Vancouver. With Covid forcing Carter home and his pursuit of a master’s degree, he now finds himself wearing the Brock Badgers crest on his chest and aims to continue producing the same high calibre rugby he has for every team he’s played for. Carter in his training demonstrates grit, determination, and an unwavering passion for improvement. It is an honour and a privilege to welcome you to the ETX Family as the first official ETX Athlete.
