ETX athlete spotlight #4….Chad Pietroniro!

I’ve been fortunate enough to be in some form of a coaching role for the past 8 years of my life. In that time you meet a lot of athletes. And over time you develop a sense for types of players. Players that love the game through and through, players who are there because they have to, and players that have the ability, but lack the focus. Chad is the first type, a committed, hardworking, driven athlete who understands the depth of his sport. Knowing full well that performance lies both inside and outside of the sport itself. That putting in the extra work is what amounts to on ice success. Coming from a family of 5 highly competitive young men, all of whom play high calibre hockey, it would seem the challenge is never ending., and the expectation is always there. From the very fortunate few months I’ve had to work with Chad, though mostly from afar, it’s clear he’s always up for the task and ready to take on more!

A bit about Chad…

“After finishing my career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (GMJHL) I made a serious commitment to bring my fitness level to a higher standard. I was pretty satisfied, or so I thought, till I started training with Josh . I have already noticed a significant increase in my strength, speed, and agility, all necessary components of success on the ice. His workouts bring you a sense of accomplishment and high level of satisfaction.

I am now in my 5th year playing professional hockey in Europe with two championships under my belt, and hungry for more.

I’m excited to start this upcoming season and see all of my fitness gains I have made this summer with Josh show on the ice.”

There are players that need hand holding, and then there are players like Chad whom you give the guidelines and they make their own path. A trailblazer and a good guy, welcome to the team Chad!
