Let's be clear here...getting in serious training while travelling is TOUGH! No cake walk. Between getting 4 hours of sleep a night, driving between 8-14 hours, and burning 4500 cals on big mountain hikes, keeping a muscular frame and implementing resistance training has been crazy!
But there are many positives. It's been beneficial to my health to take time away from the bar....barbell that is. My cardio will improve as a result of all the cardiovascular work i've done at high altitude. And let's not forget the incredible views.
So far, the lesson stands that it is very much possible to keep up your health, but the importance lays in getting sufficient rest, nutrition, and water.
Hike, run, jog, and lift when you can.
